My Prayer for the Day

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
 Circa. 50-60
Prayer
Rev. Lynwood F. Mundy

Father I thank You for this day.
I thank You for the anointed prophet Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
He told you to "Go and lead your people out of the stagnant political and racist systems of white America in with its ‘Jim Crow’ system of government."
Today the system is better but whites still have racist egos and show the Negro a de-facto integrated system from the Congress and Supreme Court downward.
The "I Had a Dream" speech today is only partly fulfilled, and still has a very long way to fulfillment from within America today.

But you like Moses whom was showed the Promise Land of his people, and he would not cross over.  In today's era to see a promise of a Negro President of America, a pass Supreme Court Justice that was a true man for the peoples of America, and other high government and educational achievements of the Negro would have made you happy to see the changes through constant furtherance’s of the individual that had a “personal dream” thanks to your awakening the Negro out of a slave attitude mind to a humanistic God creation of equality.
Your people have leaders like Joshua that are still breaking walls down of the still corrupt political and educational systems; yet knowing that people of all races--even the Negro--have prejudices that need to be removed from within their bodies, and placed as the savior of man, the Son of Man taught:

43 “You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you," (Luke 6: 43-44).

If we can adhere to Jesus as taught on "Love", and conclude with the Apostle Paul to the Romans: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." (Roman 13:9J-10).

By those Scriptures we all should know that God is love: "7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." (1 John 4:7-8).

As I quote one of Dr. M.L. Kings' favorite quotes from the Bible from Amos 55:24,
24 "But let justice run down like water,
And righteousness like a mighty stream."

With the love of Jesus and the Father, this United States of America as well as the world would be a better place to live in.

Heaven is my goal.

In Jesus' name. Amen.

A Threshing Floor

A Threshing Floor In the ancient world, farmers used threshing floors to separate grain from its inedible husk (chaff) by beating it with a flail or walking animals on it—sometimes while towing a threshing sledge. Sledges were fitted with flint teeth to dehusk the grain more quickly. Other workers would turn the grain over so that it would be evenly threshed by the sledge.
