LESSON AIMS
After participating in this lesson, each student will be able to:
1. Retell the story of Jesus and His disciples’ being criticized for breaking the Sabbath.
2. Explain why breaking the Sabbath was so serious in Jesus’ day and, in light of that, the significance of Jesus’ being “Lord of the Sabbath.”
3. Express his or her commitment to Jesus, who is Lord of the Sabbath and Lord of life.
