Illustration. Over 500 years after Micah’s prophecy, scholars consulted by Herod turned to Micah 5:2 and told him that God’s promised Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Just so, God shaped events, using even the decree of a Roman emperor who had probably never heard His name, to bring Mary and Joseph to the little town destined to be the birthplace of our Saviour.
