And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was [entreated] for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

NKJV Translation:
And David built there an altar to the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
