‎The icon depicting the birth of Jesus at Bethlehem is carried by Greek Orthodox priests in a Christmas procession through the city of which the prophet Micah prophesied: “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel” (Micah 5:2, NKJV).

Sledges were fitted with flint teeth to dehusk the grain more quickly. Other workers would turn the grain over so that it would be evenly threshed by the sledge.
