Roman Emperor Vesparian
Vespasian (born A.D. 9), a Roman general who began the siege of Jerusalem in the first Jewish war of rebellion against Rome (A.D. 66–73), was named Roman emperor in the midst of the siege and ruled from 69 to 79. His son Titus, who took over and successfully concluded the siege in Jerusalem, also succeeded him as emperor. Though Vespasian isn’t mentioned in the Bible, Jesus prophesied the siege he initiated.
