Do Your Aroma Match Jesus’
By: Shirley Thomas
For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. (2 Corinthians 2:15, NKJV)
Christian soldiers that are on God’s battlefield continually have to be very careful, because Satan’s angels—imp’s and pimp’s as they are called in today’s society—are in God's warrior's presence continually.
Paul, the apostle of Christ always gives thanks to God who triumphantly leads him as he spreads the gospel, as he calls it, “the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.”
Thus we warrior’s of the gospel are not only to go into the world with God’s word, but have the knowledge of it as well in its truth. There is a saying, “even a win-o knows God’s word, but refrain from adhering to it.” Paul uses the Greek osmĂ©̄ in Vv. 14, 16 for fragrance to convey “aroma of life”—in heaven—in comparison to “the aroma of death”—in Hades.
We are [warrior’s of] the aroma of Christ. The more time we spend with Jesus, [praying], talking to Him, meditating on His word and basking in His presence, the more people [will smell the aroma of truth in God’s word in us].
What is you aroma?
