Thanksgiving

STOP NOW AND PRAY A PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING TO JEHOVAH. If you don't know why you should pray a prayer of thanksgiving is, because Yahweh did not have to give you his grace and mercy to see this moment of a new day. The least you can do before you start your day is to say "thank you Jehovah for your grace and mercy to allow me to see this second of a new day of your creation.
Here is the Lord's Day  ministry for the sick, "shut-ins", incarcerated, Armed Forces around the world and to the saved and un-saved that are seeking the  Lord  through  biblical  truth.
Welcome all and may  Yahweh  bless your day. In  Jesus'  name. Amen.

“Jesus’ Prayer for His Disciples.” The KJV Standard Lesson Commentary, 2014–2015. Ed. Sunday School Lesson Outline

January 11 Lesson 6 JESUS’ PRAYER FOR HIS DISCIPLES
DEVOTIONAL READING: John 15:1–11 BACKGROUND SCRIPTURE: John 17:1–26

JOHN 17:6–21

6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest m…

International Sunday School Lesson

Lesson January 11 Jesus’ Prayer for His Disciples John 17:1-26 This treatment of the International Sunday School Lesson is written by Sam E. Stone, former editor of CHRISTIAN STANDARD. It is published in the January 4 issue of The Lookout magazine, and is also available online at www.lookoutmag.com. ______ By Sam E. Stone  The night when Jesus was betrayed was filled with significance. Matthew, Mark, and Luke all reported on “The Last Supper” but included only a brief synopsis of Christ’s teaching that evening. The Gospel of John was written later, however, and includes four long chapters recounting many specific things that Jesus said that evening (John 14–17). In today’s lesson we study what is sometimes called “the high priestly prayer” (John 17). Jesus began by praying specifically for himself (vv. 1-5). While the opening section of the prayer is not part of today’s printed text, it alludes to various themes mentioned elsewhere in the Gospel (see 5:36; 6:40; 12:23). A. J. Mcleod wrote, “…
