Prayer

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for this day of your creation that you have blessed us with your grace and mercy. I stand in the gap for us saying thanksgiving praises and blessings to you. Although the remainder of the day is not promise beyond this second, I pray that we look forward to You for all our wants, needs, and health; Not only for our-self, but for all of the peoples of the world.  Thank You for caring for several readers that had surgeries this week; Thank You for this ministry that brings biblical truth 24/7 to peoples around the world no matter their race, creeds or religious affiliation freely; Thank You for the Christian posting of the ministry for the home-bound (sick and shut-ins), hospitalized, incarcerated and serving in the nations Armed Forces In Jesus' name I submit my supplications. Amen.

May 31 Lesson 14 THE GREATEST IS LOVE
DEVOTIONAL READING: Ephesians 3:14–21 BACKGROUND SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 13

1 CORINTHIANS 13
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

It is published in the May 24 issue of The Lookout magazine, and is also available online at www.lookoutmag.com. ______ By Sam E. Stone  This week concludes a study of key passages in Paul’s first letter to the church in Corinth. Members of this first-century congregation had written Paul with several questions. We have considered some of their concerns in past weeks. Today’s study of 1 Corinthians 13 is best understood when we realize that it is sandwiched in with a discussion of spiritual gifts (chapters 12–14). Some in Corinth were evidently concerned about which gifts were the most impressive and important. The apostle put things into proper perspective in this beautiful love poem. The last line of chapter 12 introduces the topic—“And yet I will show you the most excellent way.” The Necessity of Love | 1 Co…
