Babylonian Harp
This portable Babylonian harp had five strings and was played by plucking with the fingers. Another style of Babylonian harp had seven strings. Many different styles of harps, with up to 40 strings, were used in various cultures and eras in Bible lands. Whether large and heavy or small and portable, a variety of these harps were depicted in art from ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Asia Minor, Greece, and Rome.
