Part 2 - The Environment

Part 2 - The Environment By: Rev. Lynwood F. Mundy Read Scripture: Genesis 1:26-30 Would God treat the environment like He charged Adam to treat it? The answer is empathetically, no. Then why is man treating the environment with such dis-concernment? The answer is founded in: “1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV 1900) 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” In looking to todays Scripture, we find that God placed man in charge over all living things: Genesis 1:26 (KJV 1900) says,” 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” One would ask, “How does that Scripture have anything too do with the environment?” In taking a closer look, the answer can be founded: Every living being and thing needs clean oxygen and water to survive! Without them there is no life. Man is then committing a sin that kills humans, fishes, birds, cattle’s and anything that is living on and in the water in the earth. Conclusion Until man stops the love for money to save the environment, death of what God commanded him to be in charge of will not exist as was created. Many animals, insects and fishes have become extinct by pollution, over hunting and deleting trees as history has told us. Job 14:1-6 would be good for man to know when it comes to life; it can be used as I am writing to you for the advocacy for environmental issues versus money. Biblically, Job is not talking about the environment. This writing and its interpretation to the environment is given by the Holy Spirit of God. So please do not misquote me in this interpretation as being biblically from the stand point of Job 14:1-6. © MMXI Daily, Weekend and Holiday Internet to the World Ministry

Furnishings of the Tabernacle

Furnishings of the Tabernacle . ‎The book of Exodus details the construction of the tabernacle and its furnishings. As Yahweh’s sanctuary, the tabernacle served as God’s dwelling place among the Israelites—the expression of the covenant between Yahweh and His people ( Exod 25:8–9 ).

A Threshing Floor

A Threshing Floor In the ancient world, farmers used threshing floors to separate grain from its inedible husk (chaff) by beating it with a flail or walking animals on it—sometimes while towing a threshing sledge. Sledges were fitted with flint teeth to dehusk the grain more quickly. Other workers would turn the grain over so that it would be evenly threshed by the sledge.

Modern Mount Calvary

Modern Mount Calvary ‎Great authorities are marshaled in favor of both claimants—the church within and the mound without the walls. For a long time, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was the only traditional spot pointed out as the place of burial. But with the growing influence of the Grotto of Jeremiah, the modern Mount Calvary, a picture of which we give, increased in favor. This whole discussion as to the place where Christ was crucified, and as to the tomb in which His body was placed, turns upon the direction which the walls about Jerusalem took at the time of the crucifixion. If the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was outside the wall at that time, as Dean Stanley thinks it might have been, the chances in favor of its being the place of crucifixion and burial are increased. If, however, the site of this church was inside the wall at that time it is sure that the place of burial and crucifixion was not there, for Christ was crucified outside of the walls of Jerusalem. And ...
