Prayer, Thought for Today

Father, as I come before You as humble and submissive as I know, relinquishing all flesh and worldliness, asking You to anoint me from the crown of my head to the souls of my feet that I through You might give Your Word of praise, comfort, health in infirmities, and hope through faith accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I pray that those reading this prayer be shown the Way that they will know that there is only one way to You the Father--that is through Jesus in faith, genuine repenting of sins, and accepting Him as their Lord and Savior; He is the Way, the truth and the life, propitiator and the door to the Father who sits on His heavenly throne in heaven. Bless those that are lost in their sins that they will know, believe in faith, and come while they still have a chance for a life here on earth of soul salvation, and a life after death in heaven for eternity with the Lord! Bless those that are saved also that are rich in faith, prayer, one-on-One Bible reading and studying, worship and evangelizing to keep their faith in running this race to finish for the prize. I pray for those that have the faith but sit and do nothing but "lip-service" when they are around Christians as a facade; I pray that You start a spiritual-fire under them to be a doer of Your Word and become an active worker, and not a stagnant Christian. Modern Mount Calvary ‎Great authorities are marshaled in favor of both claimants—the church within and the mound without the walls. For a long time, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was the only traditional spot pointed out as the place of burial. But with the growing influence of the Grotto of Jeremiah, the modern Mount Calvary, a picture of which we give, increased in favor. This whole discussion as to the place where Christ was crucified, and as to the tomb in which His body was placed, turns upon the direction which the walls about Jerusalem took at the time of the crucifixion. If the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was outside the wall at that time, as Dean Stanley thinks it might have been, the chances in favor of its being the place of crucifixion and burial are increased.
