‎On the shore of the Sea of Galilee at Tabgha, in the place called Dalmanutha, where a simple wooden cross marks the place where Jesus felt compassion for humanity (Mark 8:10), pilgrims listen to a sermon, take part in a mass or just look at the Sea of Galilee. The still waters give the place a calm and peaceful atmosphere that appeals to people who want to gaze and think quietly.

A Threshing Floor In the ancient world, farmers used threshing floors to separate grain from its inedible husk (chaff) by beating it with a flail or walking animals on it—sometimes while towing a threshing sledge. Sledges were fitted with flint teeth to dehusk the grain more quickly. Other workers would turn the grain over so that it would be evenly threshed by the sledge.
