Nisroch ‎An eagle-headed Assyrian deity, from a bas-relief discovered at Calah (Nimrod) on the walls of the palace of Assur-nazir-pal, king of Assyria, 883–858 B.C. Now in the British Museum. Sennacherib was killed in the temple of Nisroch ( 2 Kings 19:37 ; Isa. 37:38 ).
