Prayer, Thought for Today

Almighty Father, as we in America celebrate President's Day, there are many that have animosity and prejudice that do not want to recognize our 44th President, duly elected by the majority of voting American's as the country's dully qualified president. Even as I write, there are some that are still questioning his birth status as an American born person; birth record was produced with those skeptics still because of the blindness of prejudice in their hearts and physical eyesight refused to believe. One of the most ludicrous beliefs was that the President would have a Bar B-Que at the White House; that is true with all peoples attending including some that predicted it saying that they "enjoyed the tasty Bar B-Que!" There are other ridiculous thoughts of prejudice's that are too numerous too begin to write. I pray Father that the hearts of American's be turned to You through Your Son Jesus in true love from their hearts toward their neighbors and remember that You're a God that is no respecter of person. If those nations at whole don't turn to Your Son Jesus to reconcile to You, it will soon end. Let those in charge know that they cannot and will not destroy the world with nuclear weapons; only, I repeat only can You create and destroy man at Your will if You desire. The 44th President did not create the mess that he inherited. I pray for love, protection and re-election of our President regardless of others presidential preference. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. - Rev. Lynwood F. Mundy

A Threshing Floor

A Threshing Floor In the ancient world, farmers used threshing floors to separate grain from its inedible husk (chaff) by beating it with a flail or walking animals on it—sometimes while towing a threshing sledge. Sledges were fitted with flint teeth to dehusk the grain more quickly. Other workers would turn the grain over so that it would be evenly threshed by the sledge.
