Greetings and Prayer

Greetings and Prayer
Sister Shirley Thomas

Good morning on this blessed weekend and Sabbath Day—Hebrew Saturday, seventh (7th) day of God’s rest from his creation.
133        Direct my steps by Your word,
And let no iniquity have dominion over me.
134        Redeem me from the oppression of man,
That I may keep Your precepts. (Psalm 119:133-134NKJV)

My prayer to You Lord is that, we believe in faith that You will reward us based on our faithfulness. Let us purpose in our hearts that we will glorify You in our works with agape love in whatever we do. Lord, I pray that our efforts bring glory to Your kingdom, and joy to our lives in service to You. In Jesus’ name I submit my supplication to You. Amen.

Joy is discovered only when I look to You.

A Threshing Floor In the ancient world, farmers used threshing floors to separate grain from its inedible husk (chaff) by beating it with a flail or walking animals on it—sometimes while towing a threshing sledge. Sledges were fitted with flint teeth to dehusk the grain more quickly. Other workers would turn the grain over so that it would be evenly threshed by the sledge.
