Axe idol
Axe idol During excavations in Hazor, a hoard with metal objects were found under the floor of a house dating back to the 11th or 10th century BCE. Among these artifacts was a figurine representing an idol. It had a head of an ax attached around its waist. However, originally the figurine was not part of the ax, but was added later.
