Thorny Burnet (shrub) ‎In the Bible, various thorny plants are simply rendered as “thorns.” One of those plants (in Hebrew “sir”) is the Thorny Burnet (Sarcopoterium spinosum), a shrub that can reach a height of 50 cm. The outer branches end in sharp thorns.
