Mamre ‎In Haram Ramath el-Khalil, about 3 km north of Hebron, Herod the Great constructed a shrine in memory of the cult site in Mamre that was connected to Abrahams altar. The picture shows the wall surrounding the sacred place; on the floor plan cf.
