Why pray? Why study the Bible? Why believe in God?

What does those questions have to do with your employment and employer in the natural life? The answers may amaze you. You first must answer an ad for a job position. With the Lord its "Harden not your heart (Heb. 3:8)." There are certain qualifications for the earthly job, but with God, come as you are. God will have you no other way. What are the wages for the position applying for? With God there is a two-fold guarantee: "23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23 (KJV 1900)) Upon getting your earthly job and knowing the S.O.P. (Standard Operational Procedure) book which is also know as the jobs bible; God says to study his Bible's Word to know of his commandments and precepts so that you will be able to to know right from wrong: (2 Tim. 2:15-17a; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). Believing in God is the right thing to do because, "7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me." (Deuteronomy 5:7 (KJV 1900)). And to go farther, God tells you why he is before all things: "I AM THAT I AM" (Ex. 3:14b (KJV 1900)) And to go even farther to where humans know of him: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Ge. 1:1) An earthly job has its CEO and Managers. The CEO is not accessible unless you go through the Manager, and you still may not get through. However with God, you immediately have access to him when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. To make the pie so-to-speak sweeter, you become sons and daughters, and an ambassador of the Heavenly King. What a promotion! And you do not need an appointment with God because as is a proverb, "Jesus is always on the main line. Call him up anytime and he will answer." Jesus is our Propitiator with the Father; Jesus is the "Door" to get a message an an answer from God while the supplication is going up, the answer is coming down through Jesus to the indwelling Holy Spirit. Welcome aboard the "Gospel Train" heading to heaven. You're now a "slave for the Lord." - Rev. Lynwood F. Mundy

Furnishings of the Tabernacle

Furnishings of the Tabernacle . ‎The book of Exodus details the construction of the tabernacle and its furnishings. As Yahweh’s sanctuary, the tabernacle served as God’s dwelling place among the Israelites—the expression of the covenant between Yahweh and His people ( Exod 25:8–9 ).

A Threshing Floor

A Threshing Floor In the ancient world, farmers used threshing floors to separate grain from its inedible husk (chaff) by beating it with a flail or walking animals on it—sometimes while towing a threshing sledge. Sledges were fitted with flint teeth to dehusk the grain more quickly. Other workers would turn the grain over so that it would be evenly threshed by the sledge.

Modern Mount Calvary

Modern Mount Calvary ‎Great authorities are marshaled in favor of both claimants—the church within and the mound without the walls. For a long time, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was the only traditional spot pointed out as the place of burial. But with the growing influence of the Grotto of Jeremiah, the modern Mount Calvary, a picture of which we give, increased in favor. This whole discussion as to the place where Christ was crucified, and as to the tomb in which His body was placed, turns upon the direction which the walls about Jerusalem took at the time of the crucifixion. If the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was outside the wall at that time, as Dean Stanley thinks it might have been, the chances in favor of its being the place of crucifixion and burial are increased. If, however, the site of this church was inside the wall at that time it is sure that the place of burial and crucifixion was not there, for Christ was crucified outside of the walls of Jerusalem. And ...
