Head of a Figurine 

‎In Judah of the 6th and 7th century BCE, so-called column figurines probably representing a goddess (Asherah?) were very popular in private households. The column-shaped body was manufactured on a potter’s wheel, but the head was pressed in a mould and added to the still moist body. The picture shows one of these heads.
