The Tongue is Evil or Good in its Human Usages

 James 3:7:12

 James begins his Scripture discourse comparing animals of land, sea creatures and bird's of the air that man can tame, to the tongue of man which cannot be tamed as a "restless evil, full of poison (vv. 7-8)."
He describes in detail, "we praise the Lord and Father with the tongue, and with it, we curse human beings, created in God's likeness (v. 9)." 
"Out of the same mouth come praise and cursings (v. 10 a)." V. 10b, James admonishes his " brothers and sisters this should not be."
Then comes a comparison between "freshwater and saltwater." He questions, "can both come from the same spring (v. 11)?"  V. 12, asks can a fig tree bear olives, or grapevine bear figs? The answer is, "Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water." 

 Overview
The tongue brothers and sisters is a dangerous thing. Be careful what you say.
